About us

World of Whiskey AG is a family business that was founded in 1999 by Claudio Bernasconi (Keeper of the Quaick since 2009) out of a passion for whiskey.

As the name suggests, we offer whiskeys from all over the world.

We are proud that we are the main importer of various distilleries and independent bottlers. These include Signatory, Edradour and Ballechin, Lindores Abbey, Morrison, Coopers Choice, Ben Nevis, Bladnoch, Amrut and Inchdairnie.

At the Devils Place bar, which is part of the Hotel Waldhaus am See (which is one of the best 3* hotels in Switzerland), you can taste your way through 2,500 wonderful whiskeys. In 1996 it was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest whiskey bar in the world, and this is still the case today.

Our online shop currently offers over 1,500 different whiskeys for sale, including St. Moritz Whiskey, which is available in front of the Hotel Waldhaus am See at 1,800 m above sea level. M. is distilled by Arnold Keizer. This year we are able to bottle one of these barrels again, which was stored in a beautiful sherry cask for 10 years.
